Was born in Brooklyn, New York and has
been drawing ever since he was able to hold a pencil in
his hand. He knew he would be an artist at
a very early age.
He attended The School of Art & Design
and studied at Pratt and The Art Student’s League in
New York City. He was an illustrator in the advertising
business for many years and is a member of the Society of
Illustrators.
He enjoys traveling and taking photographs
of the splendor that is the world. He returns to his studio
and recaptures those moments on canvas. His paintings
are reflective of some of his many loves -- boats, landscapes,
still life, the island of Nantucket and the Southwest.
His work has a quality that is reminiscent
of a quieter, simpler time of life and aims to transport the
viewer there.
She was born in Calabria, Italy and came
to this country as an infant and settled in Long Island
City with her family. She has studied painting and
collage-making at the Art Student’s League in New
York City, paper-making at the Deui Donne Paper Mill, Sumi-e
painting with Koho Yamamoto and sculpture at the Fashion
Institute of Technology.
She is spontaneous in her approach to the
creative process. She paints from memories, moods and
impressions. She is endlessly fascinated by the earth’s
beauty -- the power, the stillness, the rawness, the abstractness,
the seemingly irregularity and the perfection of nature.
Her work is lively and inspirational and
her affinity for color and the heavy use of the palette knife
are evident in a body of work that shouts with life, urgency,
anticipation and new beginnings.
